Evil influence; Teen kills grandma and eats her heart,

NEGROS  OCCIDENTAL:

A teenager in Kabankalan City ,Negros Occidental
was arrested by police after he allegedly killed his
grandmother ,took her heart out and ate it.Police
identified the fatality as Olivia Halaman 85 a widow
and the suspect ,Ruben Halaman 19.

Superintendent German Garbosa of Kabankalan
City Police Office said at about 5am Tuesday ,
neighbours  found the elderly woman's body inside
their house at Purok Kabukiran,Brangay Tapi

Policemen found her lifeless in her bed with stab
wounds in her chest, Her heart is missing.

Investigation showed that the victim was
sleeping at around 2am when her grandson
attacked her using kitchen knife..
Garbosa said the suspect,who was found
sitting outside their house admitted that he
killed his grandmother ,and that he indeed
took out her heart and ate it.

The suspect told police that he killed his
grandmother as he felt that something  evil
told him to do it
he also attempted to kill himself after committing
the crime,

Policemen recovered the knife used by the
suspect ,Garbosa said the victim's grandson
 was living with her .Her children are working
in Manila.

The police chief said they could not yet
determine if the suspect was under the influence
of illegal drugs when he committed the crime.

He has no police records Garbosa said
The suspect ,who is detained at the Kabankalan
City Police Station,will undergo a drug test
and psychological test


Garbosa said they are coordinating with
Barangay officials to contact the family
of the victim.
