Sultan Johor: Progress cannot be achieve if fighting continues

BATU PAHAT: No country in the world can achieve progress and development if its people are fighting with each other, said Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.
He said tolerance, a culture of respecting and helping each other as well as avoiding being vengeful are values that need to be practiced by all parties in the country.
"Even though we live in a society that are multi-racial and with different religions and customs, we can still live in unity and with a high spirit of tolerance that is practiced by all level of society.
"If we do not take care of this unity, it is not impossible for the seeds of division and discord to be sowed and ruin the multi-racial society that is living in harmony," said the ruler.
Sultan Ibrahim, who is the Chancellor of University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), said this is his address at the university's 15th convocation at the Dewan Sultan Ibrahim.
